I purchased these safety glasses for general use in my home shop. I pretty much hate safety glasses and hardly ever wear them. If I do wear them I probably put my Oakleys on and just deal with the dim view (since they are sunglasses). My dislike of safety glasses stems from the fact that the usually are uncomfortable to wear and distort your view with their cheap optics. Since I started doing machining work I've had to really start wearing safety glasses. A wood chip in your eye is really annoying, a metal chip in your eye is a trip to the ER. Since purchasing these safety glasses I've found myself standing in the kitchen (200 yards away) having a conversation with the Mrs. and suddenly realize I'm still wearing them, which tells me two things. One, there is a reason the Mrs. is looking at me like I'm crazy, and two, these things are doing an excellent job if I totally forget about them. The clarity of the lenses on these glasses is exceptional, they weigh practically nothing, they sit on top of my head just fine (their storage place when I'm doing non-dangerous tasks, the arms are rubber, flexible, and small so there is no pressure point when wearing hearing protection, and they come in individual plastic bags which lets me store them in the shop and rip open a fresh brand new pair when I've trashed the current ones. The only odd things about these is that the arms hinge point isn't in the normal place near the lens but is almost half way down the arm. I'm not sure of any drawback to this arrangement, but it is odd. If I need more safety glasses, I'll be ordering these. It would be nice if they qualified for Amazon prime though.
