I bought these as a way to carry rain proof shoes, and have steel toes when I need them at some of the industrial places I deliver to. They work great. It is a huge weight difference going from the lightweight mesh shoes I wear and then adding these to them, even after using them sporadically for months the rubber hasn't torn and the bottom rubber grip still grips well. was worried that my size 12 shoe wouldn't fit in well, but it fit great. They ARE rubber, so they will not slide on like slippers, you have to work them on like tight gloves. Get your toes in first and pull the back up and around the heel, takes a little practice, but goes on easily enough. What the picture doesn't show, but didn't matter to me, was the bottom of the shoe was bright yellow rubber, which you could not see at all when your foot was on the ground. They don't add too much weight, you won't feel like you've put on a pair of roller skates, but there is a noticeable difference in weight. I actually lost my pair and am planning on getting another.
