Product Description
Made with perforated suede and lined with polypropylene felt, the Wrist Lacer is an excellent choice for stabilization of wrist sprains or strains, carpal tunnel syndrome, and post cast support. The pull-tab lacing closure allows easy application while providing uniform support throughout the entire wrist. The Wrist Lacer also incorporates palmar and dorsal aluminum stays to resist flexion and extension of the wrist. The blue palmar pad, anatomically contoured design, and adjustable thumb strap provide a comfortable and supportive fit. Great choice for wrist sprain/strains, carpal tunnel and post-cast support. 8" in Length. Available in BlackMed Spec Wrist Lacer, 8" Black - Small Left Review
The MedSpec Wrist Lacer Wrist Support is the best of the 8" braces I have tried. It is well made; the seams are finished nicely, the interior is padded well, and the metal supports are fairly easy to remove so they can be adjusted. The wrap feature provides some support; if one does not need the complete support provided by the metal inserts, this feature allows the wearer to still be comfortable without over-tiring the wrist or tendons. The velcro fastenings are generously sized and allow for maximum adjustments.I found this brace to be most comfortable when I moved it low enough so that the thumb opening closed at the top of my thumb's webbing. In order to do this, I had to fasten the thumb loop almost parallel to the top edge of the brace. However, I have small hands so others may not have this issue. Additionally, I ordered a small instead of extra-small since my wrist is exactly 5 1/2". I would purchase the extra small size if I were to buy another as when I pull the lacing tight enough, it almost laps the two sides. If your forearm is not large and your wrist measurement is on the breakpoint between two sizes, you may want to purchase the smaller of the two sizes.
I did not purchase from Amazon and lived to regret it. Although I used an online payment method that is supposed to be secure, my credit card was compromised and had to be replaced. That being said, if you are looking for a comfortable wrist brace, the Med-Spec Lacer is definitely the top of the line in quality and comfort.
