American Red Cross AED Trainer Review

I bought this to accommodate the new American Heart guidelines of AED instruction. The unit itself is made of plastic, however the AED pads cord has already broken in half in less than 6 months of uses. I checked here on Amazon were you can buy a bulk of 6 pads with cords for $60 that includes shipping, that along should tell me something as the cords are rubber no internal wire is attached. If you use the cord to plug into the unit eventually its going to break. With all that being said, the trainer is still a value at $74 bucks, now I got to get another pad with cord for $20 which include shipping if this one breaks which I expect will I am trashing the unit.
