TREND DEAL/Q4/B Airshield Pro with Battery Cradle Review

I purchased this item in October and it arrived Oct 30, 2009 with a broken headband. Both the outer shipping container and the inner box showed no damage so it 'appeared' that it was not damaged in shipment. Amazon.com sent me a new one in November. I have used it about 10-15 times. It has not been abused...in fact I've been extremely careful with it due to the headband breaking during shipment. It is now less than 2 months later. The headband broke again in the same place...just behind the top band. I removed the headband (a simple task) and examined it. Not only is it completely broken on one side....the other side shows a crack about 3/4 of the way thru the band. The replacement headband is $47. This is too expensive an item to be having these problems. It works well but I'd avoid this item until they fix their manufacturing problems and make it more reliable.
Update 2/2/10: Trend was quick to send me a new headband. I haven't had it long enough to know if the problem has been solved, however, they say it was a manufacturing problem and they solved it. There might still be a few out there with the defective headband so if you get one...call Trend. As noted above....it does work well.
