I have suffered from Morton's Neuroma, arthritis in my big toe, and overpronation for YEARS. I had tried everything from custom orthotics, physical therapy, taping my feet to hold up the arches, cortisone injections, and some other injections (between my toes, mind you!) to sclerose the neuromas to no avail. The orthopod said that the last resort would be surgery. A couple of friends of mine had the surgery, and said that they wouldn't do it again because of the pain and the long recovery time that kept them away from their favorite sports/activities: plus the fact that they still have some degree of pain. Finally, a smart physical therapist suggested this insole with the built in metarsal pad and for the first time in a long time my feet don't hurt! Well, not as much: they still get tired if I am on them for a long time, and occasionally my toes will go numb if I am on the elliptical machine for a long time. But honestly, these insoles are like miracles for my feet.

I use them pretty hard: I'm a nurse who uses them daily in my work shoes/running shoes and then I put them into my tennis shoes 3 days/week as well. I run an average of 3 miles/day. The support never fails, and I find that the first part to wear out is a spot right under the bottom of my big toes. I don't notice any odor issues, nor do my feet feel any hotter than usual when wearing them. I do take out the existing insole of my running or tennis shoes before inserting these insoles. And I never go shopping for shoes without them. I no longer pay for expensive running shoes designed specifically for overpronation and such: the insoles have enough support to make even the more moderately priced shoes very comfortable. Even with such heavy use, they usually last me a year...so I'll gladly pay less than $0.15/day for such comfort!!
