I had knee surgery again 4 months ago to repair the cartilage and remove a bone ossicle. The bone ossicle is what prohibited me from kneeling for over 30 years and I've always been protective of that area due to pain. I looked online for knee pads because I am tired of not being able to get into some tight areas where kneeling is a must. I read other reviews for these knee pads and decided to take a chance. These knee pads work better than any other type of knee pad I have ever tried in my life! I was able to kneel pain free and actually walk or move around on my knees. I couldn't do that 2 weeks before I bought these pads. Two weeks earlier I did try to put my knee down on concrete without pads and it hurt a lot. The gel is in the right spot for cushioning, and the level of padding is outstanding. While I was testing them out, I forgot that I was wearing them while walking around the house in shorts, and I also have thick legs so the elastic bands were stretched and the pads were staying in place.
In summary, these knee pads work, they stay in place, and they are comfortable enough to forget that you are wearing them.
