The metallized BoPET (biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate) material is waterproof and windproof, and it reduces heat loss through convection, evaporation, and thermal radiation. Each blanket is individually wrapped and compact with a weight of 0.10 oz. to fit in a pocket.
