I just received the Tyvek coverall sold under this listing. I think in general the suits are intended to be tossed after a single use, but that would be nuts when one's used around the house. I had a commercial grade Tyvek suit once that lasted a long time, though it grew tatty in spots. It will be nice to see how this one holds up in comparison.Buying the suit under this listing sight unseen, my prime concern was the fit, whether it was cut way too small (inspite of being labeled XLarge) or way too large. Being an athletic 5'-10" and 190lbs and having tried it on once, the fit is loose but I'm not swimming in it. It's comfortable in fact. For anyone bigger than me, I had a fair amount of extra length in the arms and legs and extra room in the shoulders, chest and hips. I was dressed lightly for summer when I tried it; if I had been dressed heavily, I think JUST A LARGE would be too small.
The material is thin, but Tyvek should be tough and the seams seem tight so I don't expect it to fall apart. There is elastic at the waist to cinch up the roominess a bit but no elastic at the wrist or ankles.
By the way, I know from experience that these Tyvek suits hold in moisture and make you sweaty. Don't expect to be comfortably dry in one when working up a sweat.
I'm not sure if the Tyvek suits being sold under all the different listings are made by (or for) Dupont, and so are all the same, or if different manufacturers just use the Dupont Tyvek material in suits that they cut and sew themselves. That question makes a difference in whether my review of this listing's item can apply to the seemingly similar Tyvek suits in other listings. The suit is listed with a model number -- 1412 -- so I suspect all 1412's are made by or for Dupont and thus have the same traits.
I rated the suit a 4 rather than 5 merely because I haven't used it yet and these are just my first impressions. At $7, with free shipping, it's a great value (as of 8/27/12).
