Strong and nearly invisible splints stabilize and align the DIP or PIP joint to enhance hand function. Molded from 1/16" (1.6mm) translucent plastic without seams. Can be used to correct lateral deviation, swan-neck deformity and flexible boutonniere deformity, support mallet finger injury, and help prevent trigger finger. Two ring splints can be used to provide full immobilization at the PIP or DIP for rest and control. Each Oval-8 splint fits a full size and, when rotated 180°, an additional half size, to accommodate fluctuations in edema and temperature that can affect finger size. Sizing can only be determined using sizing kit. Latex free.

I've had trigger-finger for about a month in my middle finger. Tried a lot of different things including tape and conventional splints. I write code for a living so the splints and tape were not working for me, so thought I'd drop ching on the Oval-8. It's well worth the money. After a couple weeks of wearing this the swelling has gone down considerably and I'm able to make a loose fist without any 'clicking'. I'd buy another one of these without flinching.

For sizing, I went with the a crap-shoot. I wear a size 10 ring on my ring finger so figured the size 12 was probably my best shot and as it turns out, fits very well. I don't know what the "sizing kit" is and didn't want to spend extra money if it wasn't going to work out. The "half-size" they mention in the description isn't really useful because the oval-8 splint is tapered to fit on your finger in only one direction. Yeah, you can turn it around and get a tighter fit, but then the edge of the tapered ring digs into your finger and gets really uncomfortable after a 10 or 15 mins. something I don't want to wear for an extended period. If you don't want to drop ching on the sizing kit, I would suggest ordering big and wrapping athletic tape around the ring part to take up the extra space.
