I recently had Carpal Tunnel Surgery. I'm an avid DIY'er and my job can deal a lot of stress to my hands and wrists. After my surgery, the surgeon was going through the laundry list of things I was supposed to limit. He suggested that I invest in some Anti-Vibration (AV) gloves to help dampen the effects of most power tools (lawn mowers, drills, etc...). I researched quite a bit online about AV gloves. Come to find out, there's ANSI, ISO and EU certification requirements and the vast majority of the gloves out there do not meet these requirements, especially the ones available at most of the big box stores. I purchased a pair of the 9000 and 9002 gloves. The 9000s I've used more than the 9002s so far. They are a good glove for most stuff where you may not need a full protection glove. I've used these for mostly for yard work and mowing. They've held up really well so far. However, I don't know how well they will hold up over the long run. The AV protection is on the outside of the glove. The 9002s are much more like a traditional work glove. They have thick leather surfaces in addition to the protective AV material.

You can definitely tell the difference in both pairs of these gloves compared to the ones available off the shelf. They are both a bit heavier than normal gloves, but well worth the protection. I took these both to my hand surgeon and he was so impressed with them, he took the information to recommend them to his other patients.
