I bought a pair of these because I recently fell and trashed a pair of Ironclad IVO-04-L I-Viz Reflective Gloves, Reflective Orange, Large by falling on the left one and shredding it under my weight and the road. That led to a search for a pair of Kevlar or cut resistant reflective gloves. Turns out these are the ticket. They aren't more than a few dollars more yet both the palm and the back have a layer of Kevlar. Plus the fingers have this bit of rubber on them for crush protection and there is a strip of scotchlite reflective tape sewn on them. I'd rather there was some more knuckle protection but these are the best I could find.

They were a bit stiff for the first hour of riding but they are pretty flexible. They are missing the bit of terry cloth for a nose wipe but oh well. The extra layer in the palm is enough padding if you are balanced so that you aren't leaning heavily on your hands. Which you shouldn't be doing anyway.

They are not water proof but they are water resistant enough for bicycle commuting in the rain. Although owning two pairs, one for each ride allows you to dry them out overnight.

Anyway I'm pretty happy with them. Now to find something to wear in the warm weather.
