I like these better than Mack's. Hearos does hurt my ears a little during the first few days (I'm forced to remove them early in the morning due to the discomfort), but then they're ok for 10-14 days, when I have to throw them away as they become ineffective. I can still hear my loud neighbors and traffic, but I can also still hear my alarm clock. I actually only use 1 plug in my right ear, because I can only sleep on my left side, which blocks out most noise in my left ear. Maybe I'll try the Hearos extremes (33 NRR).
