Chill-Its 6665 Evaporative Cooling Vest Review

I bought this vest from direct vendor a couple of years ago to wear during the sweltering hot months here in southern Kentucky (100 degree + temps plus high humidity). It works as advertised cooling me and allowing me to ride at times I couldn't before due to the heat. The manufacturer advertises that it will last at least 5 hours before needing recharged but I find that I need to recharge mine every hour to two hours in real life (probably due to the wind causing faster evaporation on a motorcycle). I have also found that it works best when worn over a tee shirt and under my Joe Rocket Mesh (Phoenix) riding jacket as it slows evaporation a little while riding and still keeps me cool. I have also found that my tee shirt (and the top of my riding pants) are damp after/while wearing this vest but personally do not find this uncomfortable. I would suggest that riders consider getting the vest with the Mandarin collar (I got the one without) to help cool around the neck and to help prevent sunburn on the neck on the skin between where the top of your jacket and the bottom of your helmet occurs. I am finding that I wear this vest when outdoors and off the bike as well when the weather conditions are hot and otherwise brutal. This is among the best money I have spent to allow me to ride during the hot summer months. It also works during the fall and spring riding seasons for extra warming beneath your riding jacket if you don't charge it with water. All in all, I would purchase this vest again without hesitation.

I ordered this and 5 extra filters, every thing was there. I was mad when I opened the box and found out the filters were expired, but they made it right and sent me 9 filters that were not expired. Its a nice set to have on hand in these times, just make sure you check the dates. The first two numbers on the filter is the year it was made in, so if the first two numbers are 91 that means they were made in 1991 so make sure you check them when you get it cause theres no use for a mask with expired filters. They did make it right in the end.

I dealt with sometimes sharp pains in my right elbow for about a month before starting physical therapy when I finally realized it wasn't getting any better. The product arrived on time (one day earlier than what they said it would). It arrived without instructions, but customer service is great. I have size 11 feet and and ordered the large, it was a bit tight at first, but comfortable. Pressure on the foot without the brace is noticeable. I graduated from the air cast to this for my rehabilitation to the world of walking. The only bad about this product is that I want to walk more than what I should. ProFlex 655 Neoprene Elbow Sleeve with Strap, Black, Medium Review

First, I bought two of these because I broke both elbows years ago and the pain in them has increased greatly as I have returned to a job that requires a lot of arm strength. Having been a former athlete, I knew that heat and pressure (partially immobilizing or shoring up the joint) would reduce the pain I experienced when increased strain was present.

That being said, the sleeve fit good but the Velcro strap was too short to make it around my forearm, even though I bought the 2XL. Apparently, I must be related to Popeye. Seriously though, since the sleeves did what I wanted, I took a seam ripper and removed the strap and use the sleeves as is. I guess for size info, I'm 6'4" 360 lbs. and no, I didn't measure my arms.

All-in-all it is a good product that I will use until I wear them out and probably buy another pair of them. I notice the pain reappears quite quickly when I forget to wear them, proving their worth when I do remember.
