I have a lot of shop aprons. Some are good, some are not and none were perfect. They all offer handy pockets and kept the majority of woodworking dust and other grime off of my street clothes. The ones that hung around my neck were becoming increasingly uncomfortable. The ones with crisscross, shoulder straps were easier to wear for longer periods of time, but getting them on and off could be a challenge for my tiny brain. The vest is a terrific way to keep essential shop tools close at hand. It's comfortable and easier to put on and take off. It's very well made and the Acme folks had it on my doorstep in a jiffy. The design does not provide as much frontal coverage as an apron though. We shall see if that's a big thing or an acceptable tradeoff.
