The product seems very strong and durable at first look and where but really is not. I bought this for my husband who is a roofer, but works mainly on commercial flat roofs so the surface isnt that rough and these are his comments. After 2 weeks of wear the hard rubber like exterior ripped from the metal divets that hold it together along the edge, at least two or three of them. If you have skinnier legs like me and tighten them more those next to strap are first to go. Plus, started to rip at the bend where it transitions from shin to above knee. Only reason got 3 stars is padding is good , thickness of stap is good and did seem to be water proof, but if it starts to fall apart these become useless.
