I have severe ankle arthritis in both ankles and the Swede-O X8 is a great stabilization tool. Once you figure out how to use it, it's easy to put on and is mostly comfortable. Some of the eyelets dig into my foot when I get it really tight, but I'm kind of sensitive in that area. I just put a piece of moleskin over the eyelet and it takes care of it. I bought this brand because it was recommended by a technician who was making me an ankle brace (which is cumbersome and I only use when I have to be on my feet for a long time). He recommended I not buy it through his medical company, but search for the best price elsewhere, and here it was.

If you have bad ankles, I suggest this brace; the ones without straps don't seem to offer as much support.
